ISO 22716 (Good Manufacturing Practices of Cosmetic Products)

The international standard ISO 22716 defines the guidelines for all quality aspects of cosmetic products, including their manufacture, control, storage and shipment.

 

The standard describes the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) that all companies manufacturing cosmetic products and place them on the European market must apply in order to ensure consumer safety.

 

The new European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, which will come into force in July 2013, stipulates that cosmetic products must be manufactured in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMP). One way of demonstrating compliance with GMP is to apply the international standard ISO 22716
